Australian audiences are getting ready for legendary Greek musician Giannis Haroulis who is bringing his popular mix of Cretan music, blended with folk and modern Greek pop, to Sydney.
The 36th Sydney Greek Festival is to be held at Darling Harbour Precinct on Feb. 17-18 and will see Haroulis perform on the second day of this established event.
Haroulis is currently one of the hottest names in Greek music. His sold-out concerts are highly energetic and full of rhythm, and his ability to connect with his audience has seen his career skyrocket, to the point of playing over 100 shows a year.
The festival promises be a great feast, as it is every year. Food stalls, home cooking, sweets and mezedes, will satisfy all lovers of Greek cuisine.
An initiative of the Greek Orthodox Community of New South Wales, it is a great multicultural festival where everyone is invited to celebrate and explore the beauty of Greek culture through the arts, history, entertainment and food.
