Nick “The Greek” Georgoulas walked away from the The Australian Poker Hall of Fame (HOF) Classic a winner this year, adding to his personal earnings of almost $285,000 in live tournament winnings, according to Casino News Daily.
There were 125 players who initially signed up for the game, including 6 Hall of Fame members — Jason Gray, Graeme Putt, Joe Cabret, Leo Boxtel, Gary Benson and Marsha Waggoner — none of whom made it to the nine-handed final table where Georgoulas found victory.
In the end Georgoulas defeated Xiuning Huang and walked away with a total earnings of (AUD) $32,620, while Huang came in as runner-up and took home (AUD) $22,155.
This is Georgoulas’ 8th victory in a major tournament.
