Labour‘s Steve Georganas has a lot to smile about as the results of the Federal election 2016 clinched him the honor of reclaiming the Adelaide seat of Hindmarsh.
As there is more than 87 percent of the total votes counted and a lead of more than 50.1 percent to the current sitting Liberal MP Matt Williams’ 49.9 percent, Georganas has reclaimed the seat that he held from 2004 to 2013.
“You really appreciate it when you win by a small margin,” he told reporters on Wednesday of the close race that has resulted in the former taxi driver, union organizer and ALP policy advisor to reclaim his seat.
