A famous yellow car called the “Mini Moke” which once roamed the street of Great Britain during the 60s is now ready to drive back into markets. It will make its re-start in Greece, thanks to Greek-Australian businessman Jim Markos.
The Australian company Moke Motors, in collaboration with the Chinese company Chery, a leading car manufacturer in the country, has designed a brand new Mini Moke car, maintaining many features of the first generation model.
Australian Jim Markos has the worldwide rights for the Moke car, which is already being manufactured in China. His immediate plans are to begin selling the vehicle in Europe.
Markos, who first exhibited the Mini Moke at in the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki, has stated he is ready to sign agreements with car dealerships in Greece and other Mediterranean countries in order to make the car available to European buyers.
“Many saw our model car in Thessaloniki, at the stand of the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI), and they were impressed,” said Markos.
Markos added that he believes the Mini Moke would be an ideal vehicle for the Greek islands.
