The video of a fight at a Greek restaurant in Melbourne called “Stalactites” goes viral.
The footage is about a fight over a table that took place five years ago at the Greek restaurant. Chairs and tables were being broken over men’s heads during the violent brawl.
Hundreds of international media outlets tried to approach the manager of the popular restaurant Nicole Papasava asking for interviews and more information about the incident.
Although Ms Papasava cannot understand why the video is uploaded in YouTube five years after the fight actually happened, but agrees that it has become extremely popular with more than 170,000 views.
According to her the a group of men got into a heated argument and the situation escalated quickly when one man pushed another and then punches were thrown and plates, chairs, and tables sent flying around the room.
It ended with the manager shouting for everyone to leave, but not before a woman asked: “Do I get a refund on my souvlaki?”
Nicole Papasava also stated: “We had nothing to do with the fight. It was between patrons. We tried to defuse the situation and then called the police.”
The Greek restaurant “Stalactites” is considered to be one of Melbourne’s sightseeing and is famous for its giros souvlaki.
