A lot of Greek-Australians participated in the special event organized by a number of institutions in honor of Plutarch Deliyannis, one of the most distinguished Greeks of Melbourne who died recently.
The event was organized by the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria, of the Labor Association Democritus, Multinational Radio Station 3ZZZ ( Group of Greek Producers), the Greek Australian Cultural Association of Melbourne and the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis (ISFNK) at the hall of the Pan-Arcadian Brotherhood, Kolokotronis.
Representatives of the above mentioned institutions referred during the event to the life and work of Plutarch Deliyannis while a video with photos of his life was projected.
All speakers underlined his contribution to the Diaspora affairs and especially to the community sectors of Letters and Arts, while they referred to their personal meeting and cooperation with the deceased and his particular offer to their institutions.
Plutarch Deliyannis participated in various organizations of the Diaspora as a member, while in some of them he had been elected to their Administrative Councils, such as the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria, the Labor Association, Democritus, and the Greek-Australian Cultural Association.
