The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI), for the year 2013, honoured the leading Greeks of Australia, in an event held in a hotel in Melbourne.
The Lifetime Achievement Award “Spiros Stamoulis’ was given to the university professor of Nuclear Physics, George Drakoulis who is considered as one of leading nuclear scientists in the world.
The Award of Business Excellence was given to Spyros Alysandratou, the general manager of the travel group Consolidated Travel, which is one of the largest in Australia and in the world.
The successful director and producer, Piter Andrikidis, was honoured with the Professional Excellence Award.
“Chris Saristavros” Young Achievement Award was given to the young tennis player Nicolas Kirios who, this year, had an impressive global success in tennis.
Finally the Award of Community contribution went to the composer Panagiotis Mousafiriadis.
The President of HACCI, Nikolaos Mylonas, pointed the importance of HACCI as an institution which represents Greek professionals and entrepreneurs in Australia and called for the integration and support of all in order to further expand its activities and projects for the future.
