The Lonsdale Street Greek Festival 2019 is going strong for the second day with thousands of Greeks indulging in great music and dancing, delicious food and good Greek kefi.
Melbourne is dressed in white and blue this weekend as the city is celebrating all things Greek. The 32nd Lonsdale Street Greek Festival looks like it is bigger than the previous one, with every year attracting more people.
This year’s highlights in music were famous Greek singer/songwriter Eleonora Zouganeli, as the main attraction, while the best local talent was represented by The haBBiBis, Cats and the Canary, Agapi and Friends, The Phillhellenes and more.
For those craving Hellenic delicacies, 20 stalls offered food including dishes by popular chefs Helena and Vikki Moursellas and the team behind Taking You Home – Simple Greek Food who were there to satisfy.
